A Discipline Committee is an official group in a college that maintains discipline, ensures a safe environment, and promotes a positive academic atmosphere.
It monitors students’ behavior, conduct, and adherence to college rules.

Main Functions of the Discipline Committee
Create and enforce discipline-related rules in the college

Investigate complaints related to indiscipline

Take action in cases of fights, ragging, threats, misbehavior, etc.

Maintain a peaceful and safe environment on campus

Issue warnings or decide punishments when necessary

Promote moral and responsible behavior among students

Monitor anti-ragging rules and women's safety policies

Common Rules for Students Made by the Discipline Committee
1. Discipline on Campus
Use of abusive language, fighting, quarrelling, pushing, etc. is strictly prohibited

Students must behave respectfully with teachers and staff

2. Attendance-Related Rules
Students must attend classes on time

Leaving class without permission is not allowed

Low attendance may lead to warnings or exam restrictions

3. Dress Code (if applicable in the college)
Students must follow the prescribed uniform

Wearing inappropriate or objectionable clothing is prohibited

4. Mobile Phone Rules
Using mobile phones in the classroom is not allowed

Carrying a mobile during exams is punishable

5. Ragging is Strictly Prohibited
Any form of ragging will lead to strict action

Punishments may include suspension, fines, or even legal action

6. Respect for College Property
Writing on walls, damaging furniture, or breaking equipment is prohibited

Students must pay a fine for any damage caused

7. Alcohol, Drugs, and Weapons
Bringing alcohol, drugs, or weapons on campus is strictly prohibited

It is considered a serious offense

8. Examination Discipline
Cheating, passing chits, leaking papers, etc. are serious offenses

Students caught may be expelled from the exam or banned for a year
